I'm sorry to hear of Bill's death. Bill, Bill and Bill make up a lot of my memories in Junior High - "Bud and Ann" enjoyed their company very much even once on Christmas eve - and there were many laughs with "the Bills." I could forge many of their mother's signatures - "Please excuse Bill from school...."

What a gentle spirit. He didn't seem to need center stage, but was in the middle of a lot of things, and always having fun. You will be missed at the reunion, Bill.

Bill Knox was such a significant person in my life. He seemed to know who he was and he knew so much, so young, what the world was about. He accepted them both with few illusions, and didn't seem to need any. He was always wise, intelligent, gentle, and his own person. After high school, he lived out the McKenzie River when I lived in Eugene. I'd visit him there sometimes, with his dogs, Boone and Bear, who were his great companions. I have lots of memories of Bill. Over the years, he coaxed me out of my 1950s identity to become more who "I" was, instead of that "other-made" image of me. How can I ever repay him for that? You always have my love and respect, my friend. ~Kathy Mason
