I moved to Fresno to attend CSUF where I earned my BA in English and MFA in creative writing. I taught high school English at 4 different Fresno-area high schools for 11 years, during which I met my wife, Becky. Last year we sold our house in Fresno and moved to Aptos. I now teach English part-time at Hartnell and she works in a pet-grooming store in Santa Cruz.
Freshman year: I think I spent more time at Spur Stadium doing the Batboy thing than I did at school. That was also the year North High did well in basketball and going to the games was a blast!
Sophomore year: Mr. Guardino's biology class. He's one of the main resons I became a teacher.
Junior year: Hangin' with best friends Kevin, Ira, and Susan. Playing on the varsity soccer team.
Senior year: The North High/Salinas High football game in the rain...GREAT GAME!
