Well, lets see…where can I start. After NSHS I attended Hartnell College and graduated with an AA degree. I then attended Henderson State University (Arkansas) on a full volleyball/basketball scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and became a high school teacher/coach. I continued to play B-ball with the Arkansas elite team and in '97 was selected to play ball overseas (Hanburg, Germany). While in training, I went to South Carolina to visit my sister during the summer break and that's when I met the man that would change my life completely (my husband Russell). Well you can imagine what happened next... I turned down the once in a lifetime opportunity to play professional sports, left my teaching job in Arkansas, and moved to South Carolina. Now I'm married (9 years) with 2 beautiful children (Lauryn 7 and Jackson 2½). If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
