I knew Jon for most of his life. He was a geologist, but later joined the National Park Service as a ranger.
He worked a Hovenweep natl Mon during the timne when they were looking for the escaped murderers and there was a large manhunt for them. He and his wife provided services for the searchers there.
He last was stationed at the Denver Service Center with the National Park Service.
I will miss him and cherish our friendship over many years.
