I retired at the age of 73 and have never regretted it. I worked in aerospace during the early years moving from Lockheed to UTC and then left San Jose area and moved to the Chicago area where I was a sales engineer for Tektronix, I stayed in the field for 8 years and then moved back to corporate headquarters as the operations manager for marketing training. I left after 10 years and moved to the automotive industry in Kokomo, Indiana holding several positions until I was transferred to the Portland, Oregon area as a resident engineer for Delphi, after several more years in the Portland area I retired. I am now a collector of Early American Pattern Glass and only collect items from one of the hundreds of companies the produce glass at the turn of the last century. The company is Indiana Tumbler and Goblet Company out of Greentown, Indiana. The company was in business from 1894 to 1903.

After I developed a tremor on my right side I thought forcing my hand to be still long enough for a stroke or two the brush might prove interesting. Good enough to hang in our spare bedroom but not good enough to ever sell.

What are we doing to keep busy? Do you have hobbies, read a lot or other forms of activities? I collected Greentown glass and other related chocolate glass items. Now I have started to paint. What is your thing?

It was sad to hear that Norris Ray Perry has passed away. Though I only knew him since we were junior's in high school until now, I did stay in touch. I Have one of his books," Lock Linked Intelligence Instinct Dreams Education", I only wished I had him sign it. Utah Rocket Society, and Utah Science Fiction League were two groups that we both joined. Norris, Norm and Gary were hanging out all the time when I was at East High. We were all into science, Norris was THE chemist, I learned more about chemistry from Norris than I did in school. The last time I saw him was at the last reunion, too bad I didn't talk to him longer. I will miss his intellect.

I have taken up painting, better than watching TV all of the time. What with the yard work, reading, volunteering and now painting it fills most of my time. We have three cats and two dogs as pictured here on our dining room wall. I just finished a portrait of Marty and I, boy do we look old. I find that portraits are hard to do. The other portrait is of our son Randy and his wife.
