After graduation, I attended Utah State University, where I met my husband. We were married in Sept 1971. We've been blessed to have wonderful children. I've been a stay-at-home mom, a teacher's assistant, a secretary for the Church Education System of the LDS Church. My most recent job was at our high school where I was the study hall advisor, which was where the kids in detention were also sent. (Not quite the way I remember our study hall at Granite!) I was also the advisor to the National Honor Society.
I have held many positions in the LDS Church and for the past year my husband and I have worked in the Medford LDS Temple, which is about 4 hours away from our home.
Andy and I have 5 grandchildren, 1 girl and 4 boys with another boy on the way.
I LOVED Granite High School! My family thinks it is odd that I can still sing the school song! I loved the cheerleaders and the Letter-His; the cconcert choir and the madigrals. I loved the sports and the musicals, the teachers and good friends!
Like Mark Buchi, I remember the state basketball tournament and the game with West High School. I remember going to a state football game played at Highland High School and watching the "H" on the hill turn into a "G". The fans from the other team (was it Davis?) couldn't figure out why we were suddenly cheering so loudly, as we were losing the game! I also remember going to the old Dirks Field to watch the State Baseball games. What a year! 1970 was truly "The Year of the Farmer!"
It was a great school with a great tradition - a great place to remember!
