Thanks for setting up the website TIFF... Should be good for the reunion!

Thanks for setting up the website Tiffany. It looks like you went to a lot of trouble. I'm always curious to know how people are. Hope your business is surviving - and that you and your family are well. I'll be in Park City the end of June/beginning of July for a wedding. But, I can't come back so soon for the reunion. Shame. Regardless, I hope everyone has fun catching up and reuniting. Enjoy! Dana

P.S. I just looked through some of the old class photos... Do I get the "Girl with the Smallest Hair" award?!

Tiffany, keep up the good work, site looks great. I can't believe that it has been 20 years. Damn we're getting old.

Okay, this may be a bit of a stretch here (especially since I'm not going) but why don't you guys have the reuntion at the high school? If I were able to go, I think it would be so much fun to be back at Granite. I'm sure you could have it catered and even stage some silly photo shoots where people could get their pictures taken. Remember the dances like Harvest and Homecoming? If anyone saved their photos you could duplicate the backgrounds in the old gymnasium. How fun would that be?!
p.s. Is it true that Granite isn't a high school anymore? My mom mentioned something about it years ago.

Yes its true that Granite is not a regualr high school i believe it is now a high school for troubled and pregnant teens-- no more football or anything like that -- at least that is the last of what i heard .. kind of sad really because having at the school would have been really really fun..

01/12/09 04:34 PM #10

Dana Robertson (Coleman)

Bet you could still have it there, even though it's not quite the same.

Dana- What a great idea. I wish you could be there. I wonder if there's a way to move it forward so we could have it while you're here... (Tiffany will kill me for saying that!)

Granite High School is now considered a "non-traditional" high school. Enrollment was down but they didn't want to get rid of the school. Visit their website if you're really interested www.graniteschools.org/hs/granite. Having it at the high school would be a great idea!

Wow Granite has a neat site there cant believe that old lunch lady is still there!!!! having the reunion at the school sounds like better idea everyday-- would be fun to wonder down that good old sardine hall... who can forget that.. lol

Okay Paul, you still crack me up. If you can change it, I will come :) I'm guessing others have already started making plans though - so no worries.

I just checked out the website. Thanks for the link Melissa. Ya know, my favorite teacher was Mr. R.T. White. He wrote me letters after I moved to New York City... the kind that gave me confidence but still cautioned against bad things. He had a big impact on me. He was a gifted teacher and good role model.

Anyone else have any favorites???

Hola! Belka for sure. I don't think I learned much Spanish but I had a blast in his classes!

I also enjoyed Mr. White-- he was a great teacher! I also loved chemistry because of Miss Madsen. She was patient, and really wanted her students to learn. Some others who had an impact on my life: Miss Long, Mrs. Wintch, and Mrs. Wallace!!!

Kyle, I think you were in my Spanish class - would you believe I went on to double major in Spanish and Latin American history?! And then become a teacher in the South Bronx (where everyone spoke spanish)?!? Belka was a favorite for sure.
Paul, never took a class from Miss Long but I imagine she had her work cut out for her:)

I didn't know people had posted anything here until today! So, in response, my business is doing well Dana, thanks for asking! It is definitely keeping me busy! I like your idea of having the reunion at GHS because it would be nostalgic and less expensive! It's funny, though, that most of the girls that have given me input want a dressy event and the guys mostly want a BBQ or something casual. We need to just decide and move on!! Everyone be sure to post lots of pictures on this site because they are so fun to see! Also, a ton of people from our class are on facebook.com if you want to take the time to register there. A word of caution:facebook is addicting!

Wow! I love this site! I just realized that there was a message forum. It has been fun to look at pictures and learn what everyone is up to. Thank you Tiffany! I can't believe it has been 20 years! Thank you to everyone that has organized and helped people to reconnect on facebook and classmates and have given us the opportunity to get together! I would love to reconnect with you all! My email is eandafeliz@yahoo.com. Let me know if I can help in any way. Not sure if I can make it, but I am trying to work it out.

So where is Ryan's Before picture like the rest of us have on here? He can't be let off the hook that easy with those lovely 80's haircuts. Hahaha.....

I'm with the idea on the hair bands for sure!

I know the idea of doing the 20 year at GHS has been going around, but the only concern that may come up there is the fact that it will most likely be near impossible to get a liquor license on school property and it's something we need to consider.
