All I could find on TJ, was this archive from the Tribune...

Anyone know anything else?

I found a copy of his Obit, here it is.

Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - March 12, 1996
Deceased Name: Trent J Holding "TJ"
"If life please us, then death,

Being made by the hands of the same Creator,

should not displease us."

Trent J Holding, 25, left our family to find peace on March 9, 1996.

He was born on March 13, 1971 to Brent Herbert and Reva Crow Holding, Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Granite High School in 1989. He was a member of the LDS Church, residing in the Winder Stake. Trent's happiest times were those spent with his son, Gavin, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed archery, softball, skiing, and our annual hunting trips at the Merkley cabin. We will miss "Uncle TJ" and those enthusiastic qualities that made him so special to our family.

"Open my eyes that I might see truth and its reality

Open my ears that I might hear your voice and know that you are near,

Touch my heart that I might know love and compassion as I go.

Direct my life that I might trod the path that leads to you, oh God."

Trent is survived by his son, Gavin, parents, Brent and Reva; brothers, Mark and wife, Ann; Darron and wife, Kari May; Chris and wife, Keri; nieces and nephews, Luke, Hope, Jessica, Erika, Jake, Kaitlyn, all of Salt Lake; grandparents, Bernice Holding, Salt Lake; and John and LaVoyle Denlinger, Bountiful; many aunts, uncles, cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Reva Merkley Denlinger, grandfather, E. G. Holding; uncles, Kirk Merrill Holding, Raymond Jack Crow, Jr., Lorry Dean Crow, Matt Denlinger, and aunt, Kelly Denlinger Schulte.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, March 13, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East, Salt Lake, with graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Security Bank, 400 So. Main, in care of Gavin Trust Fund.

I find it difficult to pass this type of information along, and those who where close to him probably know it best.
I grew up with "TJ" all the way back to kindergarten, played little league football with him, etc,etc...

Some years back I delivered a new set of kitchen cabinets to his folks, and after a short conversation learned Trent had taken his life. I hope that with the time passing those who were close to him can just remember the big smile he seemed to always wear.

I send my best to his parents and those with the biggest hurt.

Sincerely
Lewis Jessop
