Perry was a good friend, doubles partner (with whom I won my first tournament), teammate (no matter how well I did in a tournament, he always said "but I can still beat you"), and funny man.  A naturally funny person whose friendship I enjoyed.  I've lived out of state for the majority of the 45-46 years since high school and, thus, have not maintained many relationships, but our bond via tennis made this news a little more personal to me.  I sincerely hope his remaining family members are doing well, and know that Perry is remembered by those of us who enjoyed - however briefly - his friendship.

I grew up with Perry, we lived in the same ward. He was always joking around and the party. He was a very good tennis player and there were times I warmed him up before school and tournaments. He is missed.
