Obituary
Connie Lyn Marwedel Stevens, age 73, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a graduate of Olympus High School and earned her Masters in Sociology from the University of Utah. Connie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had various church callings and roles throughout her life. She enjoyed spending birthdays and holidays with her family. One of her favorite family games was “Fat Lip,” which her dad named. Recently, she loved watching “Wind at My Back” and had favorite episodes that she would watch over and over.
She was preceded in death by her: parents, Wilford and Edith Marwedel; siblings, Kenneth, Larry, Paul and Karen Gregerson; daughter, Laura Phister; and granddaughter, Clarrissa Timothy. She is survived by her: sister, Mary Phillips; daughter, Sarah Timothy and her son David; son, Robert Stevens (Heather) and their four children Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kade, and Kennedy; son, Lee Stevens (Shelli) and their two daughters Cassidy and Zoey; daughter, Emily Stevens and her four children Zach (Megan), Breanna, Layne, and Tyler; grandson, Casey Phister; and great-grandchildren Roman and Freyya.
Services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the LDS church on 12459 S Dansie Way (1855 W) Riverton, UT 84065. A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Riverton City Cemetery 1500 W 13200 S Riverton, UT 84065. Refreshments will be available at the church following
