In Memory

Dawn Silotti

Dawn Newren, age 49, died Nov. 5, 2001 after fighting a courageous battle against brain cancer. All of her family and friends grieve losing her but we also find peace in knowing a tiny piece of her gentle and kind personality survives in all of us.

Dawn was born Jan. 18, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gene and Marlene Sandborn Silotti. Graduated from Olympus High in 1970. She worked at JC Penny's Western Accounting Office where she made many life long friends. She spent the next 19 years working as office manager for Union Assay Office.

Her greatest joy was taking care of her family - survived by her parents, her husband Fred Newren, sisters Becky Heaps, Suzanne Taylor, Gina Pettyjohn. She is also greatly missed by Max and Coy Newren who loved her as their own daughter and Nancy Platt whom she called her little sister.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 9th, 2001 at 12 noon in the Cottonwood 3rd Ward, 6301 South 2300 East. Friends and family may call Thurs., Nov. 8, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and at the ward from 10:45-11:45 a.m. before the service.

Dawn enjoyed strength and courage throughout her life. All that knew her will cherish her memory and never forget the joy she brought into their lives - especially the simple ways Dawn touched us all with her love and kindness.
