Max Richmond Moody

2/15/52 ~ 10/26/13

Max R. Moody (Zeke), passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013. Born February 15, 1952 to Floyd R. and Connie T. Moody, Max was the sixth of seven children, the youngest boy. He was a man with a kind heart and a laugh that was larger than life. Max was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his sister Marge Shaffer, his sister Janice Whicker and his brother Jay R. (LaRayne) Moody.

Max attended Olympus High School and in 1970 married Kristine Taylor. They had two sons whom he was very proud of, Max Dustin Moody (Robyn) and Brandon Richmond Moody (Tami). They were the very best parts of him and he was so proud of them both. After a mutual parting, Max married two additional times, first to Jeanette Moody and later to Pam Moody with whom he resided in Price, UT. Max worked for CPC Construction for most of his adult life. He enjoyed a good game of golf and being outdoors. He had the spirit of an old prospector and enjoyed looking for rocks and panning for gold. He was a hard-working, simple man with a tender soul. He had a soft spot for animals and would get choked up after shooting deer during the deer hunt. He adored his dogs and spoiled them like children.

Max is survived by his sons Dustin (Robyn) Moody and Brandon (Tami) Moody, 5 grandchildren (Alexandra, Noah, Emma, Madison and Carson), Pam Moody, his brothers Turk (Joyce) Moody and Lamar (June) Moody, his sister Cindy Moody, several nieces and nephews, and friends who cared for him deeply.

We love you Zeke! May you find that mine of gold you were always looking for.

A Celebration of Life to honor him will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 5 to 9 PM at 966 W. Powder Rd., Midvale, UT in the clubhouse of the San Moritz complex.
