Oh my, how do you fit your life in this space? Life has been filled with so many blessings, with its challenges along the way, needless to say. With the loss of 2 husbands, I've learned to rely on myself and great children. My folks and siblings, of course, were always there as well. My children have kept me well grounded and encouraged me to accomplish things throughout my life. It was necessary to work, but found it rewarding and fulfilling.

I graduated from Westminster College, and worked for the U.S. Gov., U.S. Forest Service, as a Paralegal, for Office of the General Counsel, and Department of Justice.

School Story

I was one of the lucky ones....9th grade at Highland High School!! Woot Woot! I did not enjoy Jr. High quite so much, but when I hit Highland, things seemed to really turn around. Both curriculum, teachers, and especially friends, Highland was the PLACE!! Enjoyed Forensics, attending all of the games, and my heart was really into Seminary.

I was a seminary officer my senior year, and we had so much fun planning and implementing activities with the "Brothers" across the street. Another favorite all my years at Highland was the choral groups I participated in, Girls' Choir, Jr. Choir, Madrigals, and A'Cappella. Mr. C was the bomb!

Of course the dances at Highland were the best ever... the decorations and atmosphere was always the best. Always had so much fun at them. And who could forget the Pep Assemblies?? What a riot, we used to laugh so hard at classmates making fools of themselves, me among them!! Anyhow...Great memories Rams... I've been very sad seeing who has past on already, and remember what each of those individuals meant to me. But it's been great remembering all the GOOD! Love to all of you out there!! Hail Highland!!

Tuesday Humor:

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. Amazing, he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, What am I doing? I'm too old for this, and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper.
