I loved my years at Highland High so much that my husband Rand Perrier and i moved back into my parents home 35 years ago and raised another generation (8 children) of Highlanders.
My husband and I met a BYU where I studied Child Development and he graduated in Industrial Education. He began his career teaching at Skyline High and after 6 years there, he transferred to Cottonwood High School were he taught Automotive Education for the next 35 years. I spent most my time raising our 8 children, trying to figure out all that my years of Child Development didn't teach me! I also worked for 20 years as a seamstress at the business that my father started, Sugar House Awning. We both retired in 2009 and have been enjoying our family wihich now includes six married children, 24 grandchildren, and 1 and one half great grandchild.
We love to travel but our destinations are mostly to see family, three who live in Texas and one in New Mexico.Thankfully we have two daughters who live in Spanish Fork, so we have a few grandchildren nearby. Our last two single daughters live and Provo and SLC respectively, so we have them close by to keep us young!!!
For the last four years, we have had the privilege of having my husband's 97 year old mother live with us, so some of our plans are on hold, but we are grateful to be able to have her with us.
