Blair's Obituray

Our beloved Blair Fielding Fenton, age 41, passed away Tuesday morning, October 7, 1997, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Blair was born September 12, 1956 in Salt Lake City, to Dale Fielding and Helen Glade Fenton. He graduated from Olympus High School in 1974. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University and his medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed a residency in Family Practice Medicine at the University of Utah Medical Center.Blair married Sylvia Feurer on May 1, 1981 in the Manti Temple. They are the parents of four boys. Blair was an extraordinary father, and his children meant the world to him. Blair was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous teaching and leadership positions. He served a mission to Austria Vienna.

Blair's kindness and sensitivity endeared him to everyone he met. He touched many lives in his medical practice, as well as family and friends. He had a genuine interest in others, was fun-loving, had a delightful sense of humor, and laughed easily. He had an inquisitive mind, and was interested in all aspects of life.

Blair is survived by Sylvia; sons Jonathan Timothy William parents, three brothers and two sisters, Dale Glade (Linda), Kirk Wesley (Elaine), Alan Reed, Ann (David) Embley and Sally (Kurt) Baker. A son, Michael Blair Fenton, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday, October 13, 1997 in the Wilford Stake Center, 3080 South 1765 East. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, and at the Stake Center from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Monday. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Peggy Manwill (Olson)

It is still hard to believe he is gone, even after all these years. I grew up with Blair and considered him a friend. Little did we know he would be taken back Home so young.
