1949 ~ 2024

Vickie Green passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2024 with her family by her side. Vickie was born January 19th, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT to Elizabeth and Harvey Bonner as the second of three daughters. She attended Skyline High School and graduated in 1967, she attended the University of Utah, and Salt Lake Community College where she received her Nursing Certificate. Vickie began her career at Primary ChildrensHospital as a nurse and soon moved into case management working for FHP and Workmen's Comp, she retired in 2013.

Vickie married Jerry Green in 1973 and they had a daughter, Erin in 1976. They would later divorce but stayed committed to raising their daughter together. Vickie met DeVon "Dee" Jenkins in 1980 and although they never married, they would be together until his passing in 1993. Vickie had many good times with Dee and especially enjoyed spending time at the lake on their boat.

Vickie's life would forever change in 2006 when her twin grandsons, Brenen and Dillon were born. Her life would revolve around them, volunteering at there school and going to their various activities and sporting events. Vickie was an animal lover and especially loved her Bernese Mountain GranddogsBodhi and Gus, they would not leave her side. Vickie loved being around her extended family and some of her best memories were spending time with them at her nephew's Christmas parties.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Harvey Bonner, and her partner Dee Jenkins. She is survived by her daughter Erin Elliott (Jeremy), her grandsons Brenen and Dillon Elliott, sisters Bonnie Penrod and Jeri Lyn Apodaca (Don), and several nieces and nephews and their families whom she adored.

A celebration of life will be on Friday June 28th, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance on the north side of the building.
