Brett Farr Lees

1949 - 2025

Brett Farr Lees, 76, of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully after a long illness on the morning of February 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 16th, 1949, to his loving parents, Blanche Farr Lees and Eugene A. Lees.

Brett was a beloved father, friend, and most importantly, a caring husband to his highschool sweetheart, Leslie. They enjoyed over 55 years of marriage together and happily welcomed two children, Tyler and Kellie. He had a special love for his sister Marianne and brother Jon, and enjoyed his relationships with his nieces and nephews. He loved spending hours reminiscing and laughing with his dear cousins.

Brett was a graduate of Skyline High School and the University of Utah, with a B.S. in chemical engineering and an M.B.A. He served in the Army ROTC and briefly in the Army Reserve. He spent his career in the water and wastewater treatment industry, owning and operating Enviropax, Inc. from 1983 until his passing.

While known for being content wherever he was, he did have a couple of happy places: at the beach and on his immaculately maintained backyard lawn with his dog, enjoying his view.

He was known by all who knew him for his kindness, generosity, hard work, honesty, and integrity. He had a knack for making people feel included and always knew how to get a laugh. He was gentle and caring for his parents, in-laws, and all his elder relatives. His family was important to him and he showed that through word and deed.

He was blessed with many dear friends and neighbors, such as the Cannons, the Bentons, and the Hills. He cherished his life-long friendships with the boys and Coach Linford from his days on the Skyline Football team. Brett treasured the friendships he'd made with his employees, sales representatives, vendors, and others during his forty-plus years at Enviropax.

The family would like to thank Dr. G. Gilcrease, Dr. Z. Cizman, and Paula Hobson at Huntsman Cancer Hospital for their compassionate care. We would also like to give a special thanks to Kacie Doyle-Delgado, N.P. for her relentless efforts and great kindness to Brett.

His mustache, half-grin, and twinkle in his eye will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Leslie, son Tyler, daughter Kellie, sister Marianne and niece Pam, brother Jon and wife Charlotte.

Preceded in death by his parents Eugene A. and Blanche Farr Lees.

A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84092.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Huntsman Cancer Hospital or an animal rescue near you.
