Brent Frank Taylor

Oct. 7, 1949 ~ Mar. 14, 2016

Our beloved husband father, grandfather, son and brother Brent Frank Taylor, passed away following a motorcycle accident that occurred on Feb.26,2016.  He was born October 7, 1949 in Logan, Utah to Frank Charles Taylor and Elaine Wallin Taylor.
He married Carla Jean Clark, the love of his life, on September 11, 1971 and the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple on September 15, 1972. They are parents of three daughters; Jennifer (David) Watson, Jeannine Taylor (deceased 2012), and Jessica (David) Means and two grandchildren Kaycee Means and Jacob Watson.
Brent was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served a mission in the Philippine Islands and also served as Bishop, Counselor, Stake High Council and many other callings.  Brent was an Ordinance Worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple and attended many LDS Temples with the Temple Riders Motorcycle Group.

He graduated from Skyline High School and Seminary and attended Utah State University and graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelor of Science and Master Degrees in Speech Pathology.  For fifteen years he was employed at Utah State Training School in American Fork, five years in Provo School District and then Principal at the Dan Peterson School from 1993 until his retirement in 2008.  His profession showed his wonderful empathy and love for those with life challenges.

Brent was blessed with the gift of a witty sense of humor, an infectious laugh and a contagious smile.  He made family gatherings and social events enjoyable.
Each accomplishment he has made, he shares with Carla; she has been loving, motivating and supportive for their forty four years of marriage.

Brent loved LIFE!  He enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, golfing, geocaching, serving others and spending time with family, friends, and his dog Buddy.  His family finds great comfort in knowing that he died doing something he loved.

He is survived by his wife, two children, two grandchildren, parents, brother Jerry (Joan) Taylor, and sister Sharilyn (Jim) Brammer and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by daughter Jeannine Taylor and grandparents, Frank B. and Eliza Taylor and Alvin and Jennie Wallin.
