It's been a long and winding road and a journey I would not have missed for anything. I've been blessed with a vivid life.

Married Jim Steorts in 1973. We moved to Montana in 1974 after the birth of our son, Matthew. Matt was only 5 weeks old when we made that move. Married for 13 years and had 2 amazing kids together. We remained friends for years, until his death in 2012. We always loved each other and I miss him all time.

In 1989, I ran for and won the title of Mrs. Montana/America. I had never been to a pageant in my life until the night that I won. 1989 was Montana's Centennial. It was an interesting year. Waving and smiling for 12 months and I was so glad when it was over. lol During these years I worked as a DJ (on-air personality) and TV weather.

1993 brought a new man into my life. Sitting across the table from him at dinner on our first date, I knew beyond all reason that I would spend the rest of my life with him. The day after our first date both Tracy and I confessed our feelings for each other and decided to get married. Startling yes, but no one was more surprised than me. Tracy Moe and I married six weeks later. I was right, we've been married 29 years and counting.

We moved to California a few weeks after our wedding. My daughter, Tracy and I packed up our life in Montana and headed out with no jobs and no place to live. It didn't matter, we were off on an adventure. Within days we both secured jobs and a place to live.

Over the years I managed other people's businesses and loved every minute of it.

Favorite Teacher(s):

Jim Stewart - "Stewy" was a wonderful man and I truly enjoyed him. He was friends with a couple I knew at the St. Mark's Cathedral, where I attended services and belonged to a youth group. They filled me in on Stewy's life and gave me an understanding of him.

Alan Waite - Secretly, Alan and I would go skiing up at Alta on Saturday mornings. We'd have pancakes at his house and head up the hill. We just skied...it was never more than that. He was hysterical and teaching him to ski was incredibly fun. I remember watching him fall at the bottom of the run and seeing him ride the moguls down on his back. Great memories.
