Dale Butterfield

Dale Butterfield

Dale Butterfield was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who passed away Monday April 29, 2019 surrounded by family. Dale was born December 4, 1942 to Delbert S Butterfield and Leona Burgener in Salt Lake City, UT. He was sealed to his sweetheart Sheryl Spencer in the Salt Lake Temple on November 12, 1964. Dale was very proud of his 6 children: Jeff (Wendy), David (Jennifer), Darren (Jerilyn), Jeremy (Kellie), Jared (Shannon), and Kimberlee (Brandon). He loved his 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren so much!

He loved spending time outdoors and made great memories fishing, hunting and being involved with scouting. One of his favorite hobbies was restoring antique cars. He had an awesome 1923 Buick Roadster that he enjoyed driving in parades. He had an amazing work ethic and worked at the phone company for over 31 years, most of that time as a power engineer. Dale then retired from Zions Securities Corp 7 years later.

Dale served in many church callings over the years, one of his favorites being in the bishopric at the Utah State Prison. He loved to travel with his wife or with family. He also loved serving as a veil worker in the Jordan River Temple for over 15 years.

Everyone he came in contact with felt loved and special. He had a talent for friendshipping and was recognized by many wherever he went. He will be greatly missed as he was such a kind and loving man to all who knew him.
