Ernie Jaeger, age 48, passed away May 28, 1992 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born June 11, 1943 in Salt Lake City, to Ray and Mae Backus Jaeger. He attended schools in the Salt Lake area graduating from South High. He married Kathleen E. Heiner, August 1961, later divorced. Married Louise Moyer, June 1973, later divorced. He was employed by Associated Food and later managed California Tire and Rubber Co. in Salt Lake.Ernie's greatest enjoyments were being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping or polishing and shinning his car and truck to show them off.
Survived by one son and two daughters, Sheri Lynn Mercado, Bryon Jaeger, and Julie Jaeger, all of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; brother, Ken Jaeger; sister, Judy Bowers, and his best friend and special buddy, Dick Fors.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
