Ken Jones was born on November 17, 1943, and died on August 17, 1981.  He served in the Northern Far East LDS Mission (Okinawa to the most northern section of Japan).  He married Kathy McClure and earned his PhD in Audiology from the University of Oklahoma.  He was employed as an Associate Professor at BYU at the time of his death from complications of diabetes.  He had been blind the last two years of his life.  He left behind his wife and two children, Mack (McClure) and Katie (Kathleen).  The children were 7 and 11 at the time of his death.  His son became a doctor specializing in anesthesiology and earned his MD from the University of Oklahoma.  He has three children and lives in San Antonio, Texas.  His daughter is a medical transcriptionist, has two children, and lives in Marysville, Washington.
