Carole Lee Sauer Monsen 

1943 - 2024 

Draper, UT - Our cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully passed from this life on August 2, 2024 in Draper, Utah. Carole was born January 17, 1943 to Peter Louis Sauer and Ann Sieb Sauer in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from South High School, Carole met the love of her life, Roger, while working as an elevator attendant at Auerbach's Department Store. Having just celebrated 59 years of marriage, they have come a long way from Roger's "Cracker Jack" proposal, to raising four beloved sons; Brian (Misty), Brandon (Lindsey), Jason (Anna), Brett (Holly), and their cherished daughter, Michelle (Dawnelle). 

Carole was a beacon of love and dedication, especially towards her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Ann Sauer, and grandson, Jace Monsen. In addition to Roger and her children, Carole is survived by her seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her the most joy in life. Family was her top priority, and she loved nothing more than spending time surrounded by her loved ones, especially at the beach, during the holidays, and she never missed a chance to play a game of bingo. 

Carole's life was a testament to her faith. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she lived a life of service, showering everyone she encountered with boundless love, compassion and kindness. 

As a family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our "extended family" of angels at the Ashford Assisted Living Center in Draper and Serenity Hospice. We will forever be grateful for your kindness, and loving care you provided to our mother/wife/grandmother. May God bless each of you for the way you've blessed our parents' lives. 

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Carole's remarkable life at a public viewing on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at 6:00pm MDT, at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, and the following day, Friday, August 9th, at 10:00am MDT. A funeral service will then be held at 11:00am MDT on that same day.
