We did it !  The reunion was a success !!
All 166 attendees enjoyed visiting with old friends, made new friends and promised to stay in touch with each other.

We had a program MC'd by Paul Streiff and Jerry Harwood, a touching memoriam video put together by Kent Maxfield, a "Remember When" skit made up of committee members enacting the lighting of the "W", music with Dean Gillam and Chris Dokos, and a pledge to guard the 'panther' from Judy Barber and Sherry Fivas.

We ate great food and danced afterwards with a DJ providing 60's music.
We sang the school song and the victory song
lead by Susan Christenson

Stay in touch through this website for information pertinent to our classmates and future reunions.

THANK YOU to all the committee members who helped with the planning and gave helping hands...... and to all of you that attended the Reunion.

To be announced soon.....along with other activities celebrating our 50-year reunion..

February 8, 2015

First off congratulations old high school panthers on making it to 68, a feat in itself !  It's been 50 years since gracing the halls of dear old West as hopeful high school seniors -- hard to believe.
As a committee we thought this would be a good time to do more than the ordinary and have planned four events to celebrate.
1 - Wendover for a concert and banquet
2 - Hit & Giggle GOLF
3 - Dinner at Camp Williams Officers Club
4 - 7-day western Caribbean cruise

WENDOVER

Because of the urgency to purchase concert tickets, the Wendover trip is being managed by Claudia Kranendonk Price and Kerry Salmon Hurst direct.   If you are interested in going to the Nitty Gritty Dirt band concert at the Peppermill Casino on May 29th, you need to send $25.00 to Claudia at P.O.Box 681251, Park City, UT  84068 by February 18th..  If you have any queastions, call her at (435) 645-9024 or Kerry at (801) 205-5903.  You can ask them about bus schedule, cost of buffet and hotel room information.

February 16, 2015 - Hotel Reservations

As a committee we are not going to book a block of hotel rooms.

There are several hotels in the south part of town near Southtowne Mall (10600 South State) and well-known restaurants.  The Marriott Courtyard (801) 571 3600 and Marriott Residence Inn (801) 561-5000, are quoting $99.00 per night.....as of today.  The Best Western, Holiday Inn Express and a Hilton are quoting rooms rates of $179.00 per night.

I found out today, the first week of Augut is the Retail and Wholsalers Trade Show.  It is the largest (HUGE) convention/trade show in Salt Lake City.  If you plan to attend the reunion and want a hotel room....DO IT NOW !
