Since graduation, I served 4 years active duty in the US Army before going to the reserves in 1988. I served two years in the reserves and was discharged in 1990. I lived two years in El Paso from 1988 till 1990 were I met and married my current wife. We were married in 1988 and moved back to San Antonio in 1990. I then began pursuing a career in Public Safety in early 1990 and was hired by the City of Live Oak in 1991 as Firefighter. Since being hired there, I have earned my Master Firefighter certification and my Paramedic. I have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant were I serve as a Shift Lieutenant and also serve as the EMS Coordinator for the city and am a Hazardous Materials Technician on the
Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team. Since graduation I have also earned my Associates Degree in Fire Science and Bachelors Degree in Emergency Medical Services Administration. I currently reside in Converse which is in northeast Bexar county. I also work part time as a Paramedic for the Wilson County ESD #3 EMS and Wimberley EMS.
Update: As of November 28, 2015, I have retired from the fire service after 25 years. I am still working part time doing EMS and teaching, but now im doing it knowing its because I want to and not have too
Update #2: As of October of 2016, I have gone back to work full time for Wimberley EMS. Doing it cause I was getting quite bored having nothing to do all day since the wife wax still is still working!
