THOMAS AUGUST DRAEGER     19 NOV 1948 -- 9 FEB 2022

On February 18, 1989, Tom married Kathy Majot in San Antonio, TX. Tom graduated from Highlands High School. He joined the United States Navy Reserves in September 1969 – April 1974. He served on the USS Duluth (LPD6). He received the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and Ribbon Bar and the National Defense Service Medal. Tom joined the HEB Grocery Company in April 1974 and retired in January 2013 with 38 years of service.

Tom had a passion for racing including Go-karts, NASCAR, Indy car and Formula One. He was an avid Spurs fan attending games for over 20 years.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathy A. Draeger; sister, Janice Blackwell; and his faithful dog, Ginger Rose.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Thursday, March 10 from 11:30 to 12:30. Rosary is scheduled for March 9, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.

Deacon Carlos Marquez will officiate. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Disabled Veterans Association in Tom's memory.
