Arthur "Art" King Keith, Jr., 65, of La Vernia, TX passed away on October 24, 2014.
He was born November 1, 1948 in San Antonio to Arthur and Josephine Keith. Married on May 21, 1977, Art spent 37 years married to the love of his life, Phyllis George Keith.
Art graduated from Highlands High in 1967. He served as a Seabee in the Navy, earning numerous awards, including the Vietnam Service Medal with Fleet Marine Force attachment.
He worked in the aircraft industry as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. During the last four years, he lived every moment enjoying retirement, his many hobbies, and especially as "Boompaw" to his grandson, Bryce King.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; his daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Ron Ondechek; daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Patrick Harvey; grandson Bryce; parents Arthur King, Sr. and Josephine Keith; brother and sister-in-law Rodney and Brenda Keith; and sister Jill Keith.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 30th from 6-8 PM, funeral service Friday, October 31st at 10 AM at Mission Park South followed by a graveside service at Fort Sam Houston. Art always had a smile on his face - he was a true family man in the best sense - he will be missed.
