Hal was such a great guy.  He could always make me laugh and played a mean Bass.  He used to make the orchestra teacher (in Jr High) a bit miffed when he'd start jazzing everything up -- but we loved it.  Had many great chats with him through the years.  Even before (I found out he had passed on) I missed him.  So many wonderful friends I have missed since high school and some of my fondest memories are of these friends, and he was one of them who made school worth attending.   RIP Hal

Hal was one of my best friends. After High School we joined the Navy together with Randy McCord and were in the same boot camp company. I have so many fond memories of Hal and our good times. One comes to mind about when we decided to go and watch hurricane Beulah come ashore. Thankfully there was a law enforcement officer there who told us to leave and go home. We left a couple of days later for boot camp. He had a lot of medical problems and suffered greatly before passing. RIP my friend.
