Mary Ann Ewing (Butler)

Mary Ann Ewing Butler, 60, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, with family by her side.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Sunday in Moore Memorial Chapel,1219 N. Davis St., Arlington. A family
gathering will be held Monday starting at 6 p.m. at the home for family and friends.
She was born June 15, 1949, in Fort Worth to B.D. and Ava Theone Garoutte Ewing.
Mary Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, life partner, sister and friend. She attended
schools in Bermuda and San Antonio, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mary Ann was currently working with the wonderful people at
Qualtrust Credit Union in Irving as an internal auditor. She
was involved in the credit union industry for over 25 years
and served the - then LTV Credit Union in Grand Prairie and Southwest Financial Credit Union in Dallas.
Mary Ann was a landscaper extraordinaire and loved, above all, to prune "stuff." She was a vibrant
and feisty redhead. She loved to golf on the four days of the year when it's cool enough in Texas to
play golf. She loved her "pup-a-dups, " Daisy and Molly, and is in heaven with her friends, family and puppies, Jessie and Abby.  Mary Ann's family and her multitude of friends in Credit Union Land loved her very much and will miss her dearly.  Survivors: Son, Alan Vaughn Butler; daughter
-in-law, Kristie; granddaughters, Kayla Lynn and
Madison Louise; her life partner, Sandra "Sandy" Smith; second mother, Arline Smith; siblings,
Deborah Ann Zengerle (Monta), Betty Ann Israelit (Martin), David S. Ewing and Ned J. Ewing
(Donna); and nieces and nephews, Eric and Jason Zengerle, Jonah Israelit, Travis and Sydney Ewing.
Memorials may be made to the animal rescue shelter of your choice.
