Alfred Wayne (Butch) Koether, born October 31, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas, left this
life for the next on June 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry W.
Koether. He is survived by his loving mother, Emma L. Koether and sisters, Faye
Forcum, Carol and husband Kenneth Wenske, and Pat and husband Gerald Pape, and
numerous nieces and nephews. Al was a Deadhead who enjoyed jamming on his bass
guitar, fishing and hunting with friends, country music, and his Spurs. His sisters and their families
greatly appreciate and will always remember the years Al spent lovingly caring for his mother. As a
tissue donor, Al's thoughtfulness will be a blessing to so many, and your consideration of organ and/or
tissue donation will be a testament to his generosity. Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Heart Association
or an organization of the donor's choice. The family will provide details at
a later date regarding a gathering to celebrate Al's life.
