I retired in November from AECOM Corporation in 2005, where I was a Vice-President and Regional Business Manager, my office was in Los Angeles, CA and the Corporate office was in Manhattan, NY. We Moved to Bend, OR in November of 2005 purchased two Tennessee Walking Horses and were trail riding fools. We loved Bend but my Step daughter and her Husband moved to Manhattan, Kansas and began having Children. In Oct of 2011 we packed up our house, and horses and moved to Manhattan, KS.
As you may guess Manhattan is not a thriving community, it is the Home of Kansas State University and the population is approximately 58,000 without the students with the students the population swells to a huge 82,000. We were not able to ride our horses much in Kansas, it is not horse friendly if you like to Trail ride, and I became bored with golf and ended up with a great deal of time on my hands.
Thus, I started a new business as a Nation-Wide Mobil Notary Service. I know have over 300 clients all around the US and a pool of notaries more than 950 individuals. I work with Title Companies and Direct Lenders in the real estate industry. This is currently keeping me busier than I wanted so I am in the process of securing 2 partners and shovel all the work to them, then I will retire for the second time.
Hopefully the next time I retire there will be more to do in the thriving Community of Manhattan KS. I would love to hear from some of you please do not be shy.
