Moved to Reno NV in May 2010. Reminds me of San Diego in the 1960s/70s. Great combination of city and rural with lots of sunshine.

My work was interrupted briefly on the morning of April 7th (2009) when our two dogs went nuts barking at something in the yard. Turned out to be a family of four Lynx romping playfully and wandering through. I was a bit slow getting the camera, but did capture a few images out the window (Linx link below). Check out the size of the paws on these things. Wow! Life in Alaska. Here kitty, kittty...

I remember several of us band nerds "kidnapping" Mr. Gyetvai, our much admired band instructor, on his 40th birthday and taking him out to Farrel's ice cream parlor. We returned to his house later that night, picked up his Volkswagen bug and moved it over some short shrubs onto his front lawn. Mr. G now lives in Budapest, Hungary, and we correspond via email.

Zapped by lightning three times one afternoon and lived to tell about it... but it ruined my favorite hiking boots.
