Comments:
WHERE: San Leandro to Berkeley to Houston to Boulder to D.C. and back to Boulder, with lots of travel in between those moves - mostly South America and Europe.
WHAT: Astronomy and physics degrees, worked for NASA (never ended up being an astronaut, but I _am_ an official Rocket Scientist, FWTW), still doing acting and drums, playing ultimate frisbee, computer geek, and love being a dad even more than I expected. Doing less science these days and more mission management stuff, which I do enjoy, but isn't quite as fun.
WHEN: Damn, 48 years old seemed so ooooold back when I was 18 at SLHS. I still have the long hair (though I shaved my head for a few years around 2001), but it is a bit...grayer...than it was back in 1980.
WHO: Married Kim Hansen - massage therapist, fitness instructor, dancer (we met when performing together in a dance concert), and Fedenkrais practitioner. We married in 1993 on April 1 (no foolin'). We collaborated on the creation of Jake Parker Hansen, born May 6, 1996. Great kid, now in High School...another Feeling Old moment...
WHY: I'm a sucker for nostalgia and reunions. Ihad a GREAT time at the recent reunion, and looking forward to more.
