Frank Baldock

Frank Baldock

Frank's daughter, Tasia, wrote in and gave the following information:

Frank died October 30, 2007 at 56.   He had COPD and was living in Petaluma, CA.   He has a sister, Sabina, 3 nephews, 1 niece, daughter Tasia, son in law Nolan, grandaughters Lillian and Maliyah.   And an older brother.

"Frank Baldock was my dad.  He was a caring, lvoing wonderful guy.   He loved the outdoors, fishing, riding his motorcycle, raising his daughter.   Our relationship was special and close.   My dad was single dad the whole time with challenges and obstacles.   Later on in his life, after his parents passed, he developed an illness called schizophrenia.  I stayed by his side the whole time he coped and managed his disability.  But Frank had a big cigarette addiction that I could not get him to kick.   We tried everything from patches to pills to sending him to an old person home.   Didn't work.  If you knew Frank he was going to do what he wanted to do.   Well, anyway, I got him on meds and he was normal for a long while, but that addiction to cigarettes got the best of him.   Bless his Heart!   In a short story that was my dad.   Thank you for taking the time out to read this, it means alot.   He means a lot to me"   Tasia Baldock

I knew Frank since Jr. High. I remember him as a real good bass fisherman. When the lake near the "new" Marin County Civic Center was built, with little saplings growing around it, Frank and his old buddy (and classmate) Davy Jones, were the best at catching the large mouth bass that lingered in the rushes.

Frank would always greet me with, "Who's your woman?" Of course he was teasing me, as I never had a woman at that age. I was very shy around the girls then.

I'm very sorry to hear that Frank had struggled in his adult life. Tasia, You sound like a wonderful girl. I'm very sorry for your loss.
