I had the honor of speaking at Dougs gathering in Sacramento.  His birthday was Sept 18th . At the gathering there were seats for around 250 people, but there was over 300 people there. It was a great testament to a man who had come so far from that shy guy I met in Terra Linda as a Jr.  I moved in with Doug after he graduated and lived in Novato at the Crossroads apartments. It was some of the craziest -fast going -off the wall- times I have ever had !  Doug was always up for anything.  He never complained about anything. I introduced him to his wife Kim whom he had 2 beautiful kids with.  I remember our motorcycle rides, the bars , the parties, the trips to Tahoe in winter in his Dodge Charger. The 60 mile an hour Toyota Carolla jump we made at 3 am in the morning in Novato ,ripped on mushrooms and a pony keg of Bud in the back seat. The time I crashed in the hallway of Lucas Valley School on my motorcycle with Doug on the back comin home from smokin bowls and Tequila shots at Momma Truitts house on Appleberry.  Our epic trip to Squa Valley in the snow,  rippin up every stop we made,  to the empty bar at a resort where we drank for free and thew up on the pool table.  Knocking over the phone both with me in it on the way out.  Yea...lots of fun time.  Doug was truly one of my best friends. I love him and will miss him with all of my heart.  He was taken away much to early in our lives.  Hope GOD doesn't ready my mind right now .....he would be pissed.   We will Ride Again on the Other Side and this time your Drivin the fuckin Car !  Sleep well my old friend ...miss ya bro....Love Rich

I didn't know that Doug had passed away.  I would have liked to have gone to his memorial.  I always remembered him as the most perfect looking guy with perfect hair.  I can hear his voice right now.  He had a warm sense about him.  RIP Doug.
