Our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa passed away on August 31, 2011 due to complications from knee surgery.
Born September 24, 1948 in Brigham City, UT to Jack and Betty Freestone. Married his sweetheart Darla on June 8, 1968, and were happily married for forty-three years. His wife and kids were his life.
He worked for SL County Public Works for almost thirty years. Because of his addiction to rockhounding, he became a self-taught jewelry artist and designed many beautiful pieces.
Survived by his sweetheart Darla, two daughters Christene (and son-in-law Jim) and Cindy, grandson Josh, and his little princess dog Molly. Also survived by sister Sherrie (Ralph), Richard, Kelly (Denise), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and older sister Linda. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, where friends may call an hour prior.
