He was born November 23, 1947, in Murray, Utah, to Gordon E. Mickelsen and Dorothy Mae Mickelsen.
Chris loved animals, worked as a mechanic, and served as Water Master for the Bell Canyon Irrigation Company.
Survivors: brother Brent Mickelsen, Sandy, Utah; nieces Mary Elise Mickelsen, Las Vegas, Nevada, Denise Michelle Mickelsen, Brighton, Mass.; Adrianne Rae Mickelsen, Midvale, Utah.
Cremation took place May 19, 2007, at Goff Mortuary, Midvale, Utah.
