We have 2children:

Stephen Paul Poindexter-Missionary to Liberia West Africa (4 years), Missionary to Ukraine for 4 years.
Stephen & his wife Veronica have 4 children (Tabitha, Luke, Elizabeth, Charis)

Sarah Elizabeth Poindexter Artis is Program Manager for a Pharmaceutical Company and oversees Clinical Trials programs. Sarah has one son (Christopher James)

5 wonderful grandchildren that are our joy.

After graduation, I got married on Jun 17th. It was 50 years this past June 17, 1972 I married Jimmy. Can you believe it! Must me something special!! I went on to college and graduated in 1976 from NC State with a B.S. Degree in biology, then went to Medical Technology school at Rex Hospital for a 1 year program which transferred back and received another B.S. Degree in Medical Technology (Clinical Laboratory Scientist). I worked in the hospital labs for about 10 years then went into biotech, pharma, medical device industry in the Quality Assurance Compliance area for the next 25 years.
Just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Alaska.

My son Stephen and wife and children were full time missionaries serving the Lord in Liberia West Africa. They came home in Oct and had baby Charis and will return to Liberia on April 19th. Jimmy and I had the opportunity to visit them in Liberia. West Africa in Feb 2011. Praise the Lord for his grace and mercy and protection.

Stephen and his wife and family served as Missionaries in Ukraine for 4 years before returning to USA.
