After high school I attended UNM and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. I did a stint with the Legislature working for the Speaker of the House and then went on to do legislative work for Planned Parenthood of New Mexico. I soon realized politics was not for me so I joined Thornburg Investment Management as an Operational Associate. A few years later I became the Chief Compliance Officer of their broker/dealer arm Thornburg Securities Corp. We moved to New Buffalo, MI in 2012. I am happily married to my husband Brian Summers who hails from Cleveland, OH.
