Would love to see old friends. Since graduation I haven't seen or heard from anyone. Would like to start our friendships again.

School Story:

OMG - When I started that year at Captial High I didn't know I needed P.E. to graduate, I thought I was ok with all the credits that I had. The front office called me in to tell me that my ROTC time didn't count at the new school because they didn't have an ROTC program plus the credits I earned didn't carry over to the new school.

They told me I would need to take a P.E. course with the Freshmen or I would have to take it during the summer time and be the only one to graduate after the course was taken. I made the mistake of telling them that I would take anything so that I could graduate with my class.

A few days later they called me back into the office at which time I thought they were joking with me. They told me that all the P.E. classes were full with all the Freshmen and I would have to take summer school. I just couldn't believe it. Well, that didn't go over well with me. Then I hear a "BUT" if I wanted to be the Manager for the Varsity Football Team the coaches could use a hand with the equipment. They told me that would count for my missing P.E. time/credit and I would be able to graduate with my class.

Well, I didn't want to, but with the drive to graduate with my class and not wanting to take summer school and be the only graduate. I was the only girl on the Varsity Football Team that was a student. I totally hated the idea, but whatever it took to get me out of there would have to work. I got told so many mean and nasty things by a lot of people, but I look back and I'm so glad I went ahead and did that.

I learned so much that year about the game that now that I have a son I know exactly what he needs to play his football games to keep him safe. He will be starting this fall in Tackle Football last season was Flag Football and he had a blast. I look forward to seeing him play again.

We also enjoy watching Pro-Football. Can't wait til the season starts up again...... My Son's team is the Pittsburg Steelers......"Go Steelers" SIXBURG is cool........
