I started at Santa Fe High as a Sophmore, I was very shy and didn't speak English very well. In my first year, my best friends where 3 other exchange students, one from Spain, Finland and Guanajuato, Mx. I had a blast!, My Junior year was nice, that was the year that I met my best friend Shirley Ortiz and the gang, Dawn Autrey and Michelle Pacheco. We had a lot of fun together the rest of High School. Shirley and I have kept in touch throughout the years, she never forgets my bday!

Some of my best memories are beign part of the Lady Blues Dance drill team, the year I participated was the first year they had the team and it was a lot of work, I have to admit, I absolutely hated the blue body suit we had to wear, I felt like a smurf!! But it was a lot of fun!

In my senior year I took a class at Los Alamos Nat'l labs for mechanical drafting and those trips back and fort to Los Alamos every week in the back of those old wagons used to make me car sick, I don't think anyone ever noticed though. I loved that class!!

I also got to go to Washington DC with 2 other seniors in our HS, WOW - - - some great memmories, I have returned to Washington since with my kids, I aquired a love for community service and politics. A wonderful trip!
