Well, the count down is on!  Just 5 more days until the Class of 1972 that Year Reunion!  We are looking forward to seeing everyone!  We have had such a wonderful response from you all, thank you.  More then 65% of our class said YES to attending the reunion!  There is still time for those of you "sitting on the fence", to join us and have a blast!

Where was everyone ??? surprise  I was at the grassy area at the end of Ocean Park Blvd. today.  Ricardo Carrasco and Yasmina Dimitrov were with me as we waited from 1:00PM until 3:15PM.  We decided to take a photo of the three of us and leave.  A call to Irma Vargas assured us that some of the group were just leaving from having breakfast and were headed our way but knowing the parking situation at the beach, (not much available), we figured mybe there was a change of plans.  Oh Well !  We enjoyed each other's company while waiting and agreed to stay in touch with as many classmates as possible.    Dwight LeDuff

I had such a good time at our Reunion!  So much fun chatting with old friends and getting to know other classmates I didn't get a chance to know in school!  Ages does have it's benefits.  It was a fun night and the excitement of the SMFD joing us, only the Class of 1972 would have added that bit of fun! Mass was a beautiful and moving experience for me.  It's been awhile since I was in St. Monica's church.....  Loved remembering the good times! I was sorry to have missed you all at the beach on Sunday, but my little dog had an unexpected injury that I had to take care of :-(  I truly HOPE that we can all stay connected through this fabulous web site (thank you Cathie Flanigan!) because it will be the "thread" that holds us all together.  God Bless you all and let's try to keep in touch, if only "virtually!"

Love,

Debbie Hile Saenz

Yes Dwight, Yasmina and I were right there with you. The weather was very nice so it wasn't too bad. And yes the parking was very difficult. I did have a very nice time there though.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have pictures of the St. Mark grammer school group they could post, or that I could get copies of?

I had a wonderful time and am looking forward to the next reunion.

Hooray!  Melinda Kelly and I took the plunge and are sharing a cabin on the beautiful "Fun Ship" INSPIRATION, leaving Los Angeles for Mexico on June 20th and returnng June 23rd!  We are in cabin E136....

I do believe the name of this ship will define many of our "60th" years birthday celebrations!  We are inspired to have fun and enjoy life!  Some of you already are 60, or will be turning the BIG 6 0 very soon, I myself turned 60 in January! So let's C E L E B R A T E together!! I am so looking forward to this cruise  with you all and sharing 60th Birthday Celebrations, pictures and memories of our fun times at St. Mo's, and catching up on our lives since we last saw each other at the 40th reunion. So, get off the fence, fly solo and keep the cabin to yourself (ha, ha, quiet time!)  or find a partner to share a cabin if you'd rather and lets sail off into the sunset for some fun in the sun (with sunblock of course!) !

Adios!

to: Fellow Saint Monica 1972 classmates,

I have been thinking that we have all had a large variety of life experiences, some more than others. I wish us the continued fortitude, luck and tenacity that has pulled us through so far. I am thankful to be around to celebrate my sixty years. It is hard to believe that sixty is here. I wish all of you a Happy 60th. With a special thank you to those who showed me kindness during high school.

( who else sometimes has the song words going through their mind - "we're the sophomore class of 72 . here to present our gifts to you" - to the tune of its a small world ???)     Yeah - I know a weird thing to remember - but I know you all have something similar !!!!!

Dear Classmates,

We will be holding our first planning meeting this coming Sunday.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, willing to help, or just give us your thoughts,  feel free to post them in this message forum.

We will also be posting the names of those classmates we have not been able to locate, so you may be able to help us simply by helping us reach out to everyone.

Look forward to hearing from  you.
