Comments:

After GRADED I went to the Unv. of Tampa where I hung out with Butch Walch and friends!
After 2 years, I moved to Atlanta Ga and was based there as I modeled around the world.
I won my first Emmy in 1983 as a Make-up artist then won 2 more as a producer / on air talent for CBS in Atlanta Georgia...with such shows as "On the Move with Marilyn" "What's Hot" “PM Magazine” and I was the late night movie hostess "Peachy Pitts" :) (really really bad)
In 1981 I became Mrs. Georgia and Mayor Maynard Jackson proclaimed April 3 as "Marilyn Martin Parver Day".
I used my maiden name professionally ..just in case anyone from my Graded days tried to look me up! Really!!
That same year, the Georgia State Senate wrote a formal "resolution" proclaimed I was the "ideal married mother in Georgia"...
Of course that was before I was featured in Playboy Magazine as Playboys first married mom! I can say Pres. Jimmy Carter asked me to sign HIS Copy :).
OK..It was a different time. and I was taking a stand that women could be sexy and successful..and a mom too!
I began photography after taking a family safari to Kenya in 1986. I was HOOKED.
I have been very fortunate in the success of my work which has been wildly exhibited and published. Now I have branched out to all types of photography!!

Not everything has been good...I was arrested, cuffed by Federal Marshals and escorted off a JetBlue airplane in 2008. Let’s say sometimes things can be carried too far...and power in the hands of the wrong people is very dangerous!!
I am old enough and proud enough to stand up for what I believe is right over embarrassment! I am STILL involved in a Civil Rights lawsuit against JetBlue!!

In 2012, I began what has been the most interesting adventure of my life. I moved part time, to Loita Hills Kenya where I lived with a Maasai family in their "engang"...a family compound of dung huts, lots of cattle and many family members. We live without power or water. (I have grown so much!!)

In 2013, thanks to donations, I was able to provide solar lights to all of the students in 5 Loita Hills primary school and in 2014, I finished a solar well that pumps 15,000 liters of water an hour.
Many friends from Graded were involved in these projects and I doubt that I could have been successful without their support!

In 2014 I got a divorce ( after 39 yrs.) and once again moved to Tampa. Once again, not to far away from Butch Walch ...and his wonderful wife Heloisa...who happens to be my best friend since we met at Graded in 1969!!!!
It is an exciting time in my life and my adventures continue!!

School Story:

Oh so many stories.... thanks to Sam McCorkle and friends
including surfing in Guaraja, Slave Day, Sam's Bar & Grill, Fazenda Sao Sebastiao ...+++++++

Yes, I still wear false eyelashes and the occasional wig!! I did exactly what most would have guessed I would do...I did make-up for movies, I then was so sick of people that I became a wildlife photographer and spend lots of time in tents. Now, THAT should surprise you!

Loita Hills Maasai Project Light for Life 1

A solar light would give these Maassai students a way to study in their dark huts.
Fire is their only source of light but for a small donation you could light a childs home and help them have a bright future.

Blood drinking out of a throat by young brave teenage Maasai.

Maasai Morran warriors are drinking the fresh blood from the neck of a just slaughtered cow. This was part of the Eunoto Ceremony in Loita Hills Kenya in April 2012. Teenage boys knelt and drank from the dead animals throat. All 3000 warriors took a sip. No one got sick. They did mix a "little local brew" with the blood to help make the blood supply last. I was the only white face.......
