How to summarize so many years ...
Well, here goes.
I studied Film and TV production at NYU Film School . After graduating I was ready to stay in New York and begin my film career. But during my last summer vacation in São Paulo while I was in my senior year I met Natan and feel in love . So when I graduated I came back .
We are still married and have two great kids: Tom 23 and Nina 20.
For many years I worked as a prodution coordinator in feature films , both domestic and foreign produtions that would come to Brazil.
When Fernando Collor was elected President , in the late 80´s, the whole film industry, if you could call it an industry, feel to pieces.
My kids at the time were small and I decided that it was time for normal working hours.
I began working in an advertising agency as a film producer. Nice salary, near home and decent working hours.
I guess with the years I got tiried of having bosses, both good and bad, and in 2002 I started working with my husband who is also in the business. He owns a corporate video production house. So now I only prospect new clients which is opening doors, showing your work. In other words sales.
São Paulo is very competetive and everyone all over the country comes here. We live in a city that could be compared to any large cosmopolitan city of the world. Those who never came back would not believe how the ciy changed. Just to get an idea: Graded is now surrounded with millions of high-rises.
My kids are great. Both study in São Paulo. Probably for their masters they will go abroad.
Looking at everyones picture makes me see that the years really have gone by. The small guys became big guys and we all have our families and many of our kids are older than when we graduated.
I see Marcia Belfer often. I went to her daughter´s wedding in May. Berta Segall and I have a drink every time she comes to SP.
I bump into Eduardo Gentil once in a while. I saw Laurie Miller a few months ago. Carole Nahmias and I have written to each other. Hopefully we will get together on her next visit to São Paulo.
