I spent many hours with Rick at Graded on so many projects during our sophmore & junior years that I couldn't count em. We were very good friends. We even bused down to Guaruja once. That was a hoot! Lots of movies, bars and poking around Sao Paulo.

Then, we had two visits in the USA.

After our senior year of school, Rick came to Michigan to visit family in Ludington. He flew into Midland where I was living, Dad gave me the keys the VW van, so we were on our way. We had a good time!

Unfortunetely, our paths did not cross again. I am sure we would have had a good time if we had. I will miss him and miss that we hadn't re-connected and cannot now. Interesting note that he passed away within days of my mom's passing. So I mourn two people every July 9th.

I made a visit to see Sharon in New Smyrna Beach. She took me out to his gravesite and I left him with a gift. (You'll need to ask Sharon) I think she will enjoy telling it.

Ate' logo, Rick! We'll all miss you!

Richard was a true gentleman and loved his family. It was a joy to know him.

Rick and I were good friends during our senior year together. I remember many good times...playing the guitar, listening to music, crackin' up big time in our classes together, making a great trip to Guaruja with some friends...Rick Crane, Rick Britton, Abe, Harry, and Lord knows who else...and dealing with our "bratty kid sisters" together (Sharon and Rondi!) ;-) .

I miss you, my friend. I have some great memories of a too-short year together....

Rick was the "official" photographer for our yearbook. He didn't say much but never missed a thing. Many of his photos are in the intro section of the book. So evocative of Brasil and the time. Sad to have a life too short.

I can't believe my brother is gone. Not a day goes by when I don't think of him. He was a wonderful son, husband, brother and uncle. He loved his family.

The pictures are of his family. His three children, Eric, Michael and Sarah and his wife Debbie.

All of us are so happy that Debbie has found happiness again and has remarried.
