graded changed my life, it made education kool
I left Graded in the middle of 11th grade and returned to Detroit MI in mid-winter. Oh, what a delight! After sluoghing through the rest of high school, I went to Mich State U and recieved a BS in Microbiology. I then move out to Utah for graduate school, and was permanently ruined. The combination scientist-ski bum was nervana for me. I have never ever really left UT. I did spend a year in Hotlanta, working at Emory U, but hated the town, but thought Emory was great. I made the stupidest career decision in my life and took a job back in UT at Utah State University. It has been a great life, I met my wife Connie the first day at work, was married two years later with a new wife and three kids. You can never have too many ski partners. I have actually done more than ski, I've also mountain biked, fly fished and generally been a gropper ( grop-the stuff that hikers snack on).
My career has been pretty good as well, here in the isolation of the mountains. I have work in the academic sphere pretty continuously, with a short break running my own company ( a total fiasco). I am now the Research Manager for the Western Dairy Center at USU. Anybody what some free cheese? This job is fun, I get to pick on grad students and I will get to travel around the world. My first trip was to Sicily last summer. I stayed on the Med for three weeks and got to drive like I was in Brasil. One of my goals of the trip was to get an Italian speeding ticket, I failed. My kids are grown, my gradkids are great, and I am as in love with my wife as I was on the day we were married ( I have always hated that bitch ;) ). She is my best friend and there is not a day that goes by that we aren't having an adventure. I hope to hear a lot from all of you out there, the two years that I spent with you was a turning point in my life. Thank you all
