Hi to everyone at the Reunion. So sorry I won't be able to make it - it would be fun to see all of you after all of these years (I left Brasil in June, 1968). I have many fond memories of Graded and the students and teachers. As an update to my story, during my junior year at Graded I dated a boy who went to Chapel, Fred Hosea. We stayed together for 6 years, including a year volunteeting on a kibbutz in the Negev desert in Israel, and are still good friends. (For those of you who remember Fred, he now lives in Oakland, CA.) After college I worked several years as a social worker, "retiring" to raise my family. I now work for my husband's counseling practice, as well as for a local psychiatrist. Our two older daughters are out of the nest now; one lives in Austin, TX, and one in Irvine, CA. The "baby" is a junior in the honors college at Ohio State. The highlight of my life recently was a reunion with many of the other "kids" I spent a year with in Israel; with only a couple exceptions, none of us had had any contact with the others in 36 years until one friend started the process of tracking us all down. It was an emotional and wonderful time for all. Sorry I didn't make the Graded reunion in Columbus, OH, a few years ago--I didn't know about it!! I hope all of you enjoy the reunion this year - my best to all!

I was only at Graded 1966-1968 (sophomore & junior years), until my father was transferred back to the USA. I've always regretted not being able to graduate from Graded. I loved living in Brasil and learning Portuguese and dream someday of returning to visit. If anyone remembers me at all (I was very shy!), I would love to hear from them.
