I came to Nova Scotia for my undergraduate degree and met my husband during our senior year. Aftern teaching at the International School of Brasilia, got married in 1984 and moved permanently to Canada in 1985. Taught school and university in Ottawa and then we got our first posting to Washington D.C. in 1992. Our second post was to India in 1999 and our third, and last, was to South Africa in 2003. We are both now retired on our organic farm by the sea in Nova Scotia. Bill has a workshop for sculpting and carving and I have a great quilting studio by the sea! Oh, and by the way, and we bought an Airstream and love camping in it.
School Story:

Having moved school from the British school to Graded in grade 9 ,I was amazed at the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches served inthe cafeteria. I had never had one before!!!..very American....

Happy birthday all day. Bill and I are about to be empty nesters also as our youngest is off to university. It will ne nice to have my car back all to myself and find things where they are supposed to be in the house. Once retired, I'll take a drive down to see several of you friends along the eastern seaboard. Beijos
