Dorothy Jacqueline "Jackie" Hayes, age 48, joined our Lord April 14.
A Sarasota native, she is survived by her mother, Dorothy Hayes, and her sister, Marilyn Hayes, both of Sarasota; her brother, Thomas Hayes of Tierra Verde; and two nephews and three nieces. Her sister, Cheryl Slocum, went home to the Lord June 5, 2007.
Jackie was a respected and trained caregiver. She was a very active member of the Calvary Chapel Sarasota, which was her second home and extended family. As a natural and loving caregiver, she ministered to family and friends. Jackie touched many people and her faith and positive attitude enriched those whose paths she crossed. She will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Calvary Chapel, Sarasota.
