Justin Childers Mr. Bailey was always the really crazy one. DO you guys remember how he would eat or lick anything when we were in his class. My mother-in-law actually said she went to school with him and he was weird then.

Jennifer Snead (Mitchell) Coach Bice still teaches and coaches Jr. high football. I see Mr. Bailey up there sometimes and he has hair down to his shoulders!

I'm sorry guys I know he was a bit diffrent but Mr. Bailey is one of my favorites. Yeah he looks like a hippy.
I never saw him without a smile though.

I know that Mr. Gillilan was a little diffrent too but He wrote to me a lot when i was in Iraq and I thought that that was pretty cool. I heard later he was dealing with some health issues. has anyone heard about him lately?

Jennifer Snead (Mitchell) The kids still think Mr.Bailey is cool! Jessica likes Mr. Burns! Remember Shannon Burns,he is a few years older than us. He is the Ag teacher and helps coach the golf team.

Wendy,

It is still up in the air. One of my wife's good friends and bridesmaids has a her engagement wedding party something or other that night at the exact same time. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal, but for ours this girl wasn't supposed to be able to make it and ended up surprising Kate by driving from D.C. so... plus, she's kind of the type that if Kate isn't there she'll never hear the end of it. We're trying to decide whether to have her go to that and me to the reunion or both come to the reunion or both to the party. I'm arguing that since it is not the actual wedding, it doesn't count. Kate had much rather come to the reunion party as well, but she's dealing with the "its her only wedding and there will be other reunions" argument from the bride's family. I probably didn't help things when I said, "I've met her. She'll have at least a half dozen more weddings for us to attend." Anyway...

Kerri Hubbard (Cornelius) Wait a minute, I'm talking about Coach Jack. He was very weird. He was not at Sardis very long at all. I think it was 7 th grade. I think I had him for home room. He would stand up front and twist his hair. He is the one I remember having a green tongue. Leigh M., do you remember? Seems like you were in home room with me. Does anybody remember him?????

Carl Cole yeah, worst basketball coach ever and Chris Kilgo gave him hell because he tried to teach evolution. So Bailey's got long hair? I always liked the guy although I don't think he thought much of me. He tried a little too hard to relate and be cool and it was a little unnatural for him, but he was a young teacher when we had him.

Sandy Minyard (Roberts) yes Kerri I remember him he wore the stockings and would put the answers on the board right before the test. In Mid year we swapped to Mrs. Key who was an extremely unhappy person.

Hey guys, just spent the last 20 minutes catching up. Pretty interesting stuff. I havn't been to the sight in two weeks. I've changed jobs and it has been exhausting. I'm back at Logan's in Gadsden now if anyone wants to stop by. Miranda, I still can't get it to work. I may just mail you some pics. I did see your mom and dad after church at the Lion's Den. My family and I visited Sardis Baptist and will probably be going back regularly.
Just a little over a week left...time's flying by.

Wendy Gazaway (Hood) Kerri, I totally understand, 1st birthdays are once in a lifetime. Carl, Come on, it's not even the actual wedding!! I sympathize with Kate's situation but for you...I say ditch the party and come to the reunion.

Shannon Curtis (Cline) Brian Most of our Engineers hang out at Logan's. Especially on Wednesday night. What shift are you working? If the crew is not at Logan's they are at Jefferson's on Broad Street. I think their favorite bartender's name is Cole at Logan's. As for Coach Jack... He was the creepiest teacher we had. Yes I remember vividly THE GREEN TONGUE!

He always threatend us with her if my brain is working right. U no where getting old seems that Sandy has A great memory. Wished i did.

Shannon, I'll be in the kitchen the next month and you'll have to ask for me...which isn't a problem. I'll be in the dining room after the first of September working mostly nights. Thea, be sure to tell Dave.

O.K. How many of us think it's bunk that Carl's is even considering missing the reunion for anything less than an unexpected death or sickness. Mrs. Cole will you pretty please let Carl come? We would love to meet you also!

LOL... These are high level negotiations Carnes. She's figuring how many pairs of shoes she can get out of missing her friend's wedding party. She said this morning she needed to figure out a way to tell her friend. I think we'll be there. I'm going to go ahead and send Handley a check or figure out how to work the online ticket thing. HAve you already done your thing in H'ville or is that coming up?

Kristie Noojin (Renfroe) Sandy, I don't think it is normal that the parents should have to teach their children to write. I may be wrong. I teach high school, so I don't deal with little ones. I would be mad as hell if my son's teacher told me she didn't have time to teach him to write. That is one of those things they learn in school. Reading, writing, and math are the important ones.

Bridgett Wester (Hilley) I just finished getting all my mementoes together, and will start arranging them together the first of the week. If anyone has anything they would like to add to decorate the room with let me know. I would like to have as many of the sports and clubs represented as possible. THANKS.
